Jorge Alchammas - Experienced Radiologist with Leadership Experience

Jorge Alchammas, M.D., is a Michigan-based and board-certified radiologist who served as a neuroradiologist at Detroit Medical Center (DMC), focusing on disease diagnosis through imaging. Specializing in brain and spine imaging, Dr. Jorge Alchammas has served in multiple leadership positions.

Some career-related leadership positions include Associate Program Director (APD) for the DMC radiology residency program. Other positions Dr. Alchammas has previously held include the 2018-2019 Resident Liaison to the Michigan Radiological Society (MRS), representing the Michigan chapter of the American College of Radiology (ACR). He took part in the legislative day to lobby the U.S. Senate and Michigan House to emphasize the importance of radiology in healthcare. In addition, Dr. Jorge Alchammas served as the Beaumont Representative from 2017-2018, representing Beaumont Health in the Michigan Chapter of the American College of Radiology.

Jorge Alchammas, M.D., has held other leadership positions, including the 2014-2015 Medical School Interviewer at the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, where he interviewed and assessed medical student applicants. At the same institution, he served on the Finance Committee between 2011 and 2012, where he was tasked with allocating funds to medical student organizations.

Before assuming duties at DMC, Jorge Alchammas, M.D., who became a Board Certified Radiologist in 2021, served as a general radiologist at Advanced Radiology Services (ARS). During his career, he has collaborated with numerous experts and participated in presentations revolving around major medical topics.
